Why I Did Not Sell My Photographs Before Although my photography received wonderful recognition for its technical innovation, I rarely received feedback about my pictures as works of art. In those days, there was little market for artistic photography, and my early attempt to open the first London gallery devoted to photographic art at Marble Arch proved too far ahead of its time. Years later, I exhibited at the first Art Marbella fair, where interest was high but sales were nonexistent. So, I turned my attention to our other passions, particularly our antique collection. Only now, with a growing appreciation for photography as fine art, am I finding genuine interest in my pictures for their artistic value rather than their technical achievement. This renewed enthusiasm has inspired me to redesign my Painting with Light website to meet the expectations of today’s collectors.
